Meet Lesley
Lesley Larive, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working in medical facilities, schools, home health settings, and private practice. I serve clients of all ages and have worked with people from 3 to 103 years old!
I started Myo Omaha to focus on addressing the root causes of my clients’ speech, breathing, and swallowing challenges. I am able to use my knowledge of the orofacial complex to teach exercises that improve these functions– which can be conceptualized as physical therapy for the mouth and face muscles! I am proud to provide my clients with a truly comprehensive therapy approach, addressing speech, breathing, and swallowing all at once.
I earned my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and have spent years refining my practice to specialize in identifying, evaluating, and remediating oral myofunctional disorders. My family’s personal journey with oral myofunctional disorders further inspired me to seek answers and effective solutions, so I know what it’s like to be the parent, the client, and the therapist in the room. Now, I am in the process of becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), and I am dedicated to providing the highest level of education and care to my clients.
