Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
For All Ages
What is Myofunctional Therapy?
Orofacial myofunctional therapy is an evidence-based treatment approach that reforms the foundational skills needed for breathing, speaking, swallowing, and sleeping. The overall goal of therapy is to change the movement patterns of the mouth in order to improve health, development, and speech performance. We collaborate with doctors, dentists, and other professionals to get lasting results!

Evaluations take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, and you will receive a formal written report within two business days. We consider your health history, current symptoms, and personal goals when formulating a treatment plan. With your consent, written reports can be sent to other members of your health care team.

Feeding & Swallowing Therapy
We take a myofunctional approach to treat feeding and swallowing challenges.
Most people with speech or myofunctional disorders also have improper swallow patterns. Each person swallows an average of 1,000 to 2,000 times a day! By addressing all of the underlying causes of our client's symptoms, including swallowing patterns, we are able to have a greater impact on remediating
speech and myofunctional disorders.
At Myo Omaha, we recognize the importance of targeting swallowing in order to deliver comprehensive treatment that addresses all aspects of our clients' lives.
